As we reflect on the past six months - eight sessions filled with learning, laughter, and growth - we are proud to celebrate the graduation of our London Elevate cohort.
This marks another important milestone for Start Young UK and the young people we support, each of whom has developed confidence, workplace skills, and a clearer sense of direction for their future.
💙 From Pilot to Growing Impact
What began two years ago as a pilot in London has now grown into three London cohorts, alongside expansion into Manchester and Northampton.
Each programme continues to reinforce the importance of providing young people with access to meaningful opportunities, employer insight, and supportive mentoring.
💼 A Day of Real-World Learning
The day began with the Barclays Investment Game, led by Estaire R, followed by valuable interview preparation insights from Nadia Rahman (HR).
Students then took part in speed mock interviews, building confidence and practising real-world communication skills ahead of future opportunities.
🌟 A Proud Celebration
During the graduation ceremony, led by our sponsors Gauri Goel and Stuart Baker, mentors reflected on the incredible growth shown by every student.
One of the standout moments was hearing directly from the young people themselves — speaking with confidence, reflection, and pride in how far they have come.
🤝 Partnership That Makes a Difference
We are also grateful to Shelby Flora and all our partners for their continued support and belief in the programme.
It is through collaboration that we are able to create real impact and open doors for the next generation.
🚀 Looking Ahead
As this cohort graduates, we celebrate their journey — and look ahead to the continued growth of the Elevate Programme across the UK.
