Our Thrive SYUK Programme is dedicated to providing comprehensive support to children from underprivileged backgrounds. Through a referral system via schools, the program takes a 360-degree holistic approach, ensuring that children receive the mentorship, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed.

Who we support

The Thrive SYUK Program supports children from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them with consistent mentorship, essential resources, and community engagement opportunities. We focus on children aged 5 and upwards, particularly those identified by schools as needing additional support.

By supplying school uniforms, facilitating life skills development, and offering enriching experiences, we ensure that these children feel included, confident, and prepared for the future, while also extending vital support to their families and communities.

What We Offer

Mentorship Through the Buddy Scheme

  • Long Term Mentorship

Children are matched with a dedicated buddy who supports them.​

  • Meaningful Communication

Regular letter writing fosters deep and meaningful relationships between buddies and children creating a strong support system.​​

  • Literacy & Confidence Building

Buddies can help improve literacy skills, reading comprehension and overall confidence, acting as a trusted allies who believe in the child's potential.

Community Engagement and Life Skills

  • Life Skills Development

Children participate in community clubs where they learn essential life skills, including values, respect and stewardship within their community.

  • Positive Relationships

The program emphasizes the importance of building positive relationships and respect, promoting a sense of belonging and community engagement.

  • Stewardship

By encouraging involvement in community activities, children learn to become responsible, active participants in their communities.​​​

Essential Resources and Experiences

  • Inclusion & Belonging

Each child in the program receives a full uniform and P.E kit annually, ensuring they feel included and equal to their peers.

  • Trips, Events and Workshops

Throughout the year, children and families in the program are invited to participate in various trips, events and workshops designed to enrich their educational and social experiences.

  • Family Support

These activities also provide essential support to families, offering opportunities for shared experiences and community bonding.​
